Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill

Article Abstract:

Shaker Village in Kentucky has been restored and opened to the public. The property was once owned by Shakers who cultivated the land and processed medicinal herbs and seeds to market along the river. Upon the death of the last Shaker in 1923, the land and its properties were sold.

Herbs for all seasons

Article Abstract:

The Herb Shed of Telford in southeastern Pennsylvania offers different kinds of herbs for a wide range of applications. Owner Lois Wismer's interest in herbs date back more than two decades ago and since then has been advocating their use through various garden programs.
