Aspen Furniture, a case goods maker based in Phoenix, AZ, has appointed Andy Nielsen as the company's vice president of merchandising and sourcing, a new position at the company. Aspen President and CEO Stan Sapp commented that Sapp has phenomenal links with people in Asia, which presents alternate merchandise-sourcing opportunities. At the recent San Francisco Mart, Aspen launched a line of home-office workstations with stepped-up styling and function that has been designed by Nielsen. He once worked with Winners Only as its president.

Frisco names Brewer president and CEO

Article Abstract:

Frisco Furniture, a firm that makes promotional case goods, has appointed David Brewer as president and chief executive officer. Brewer, who started working for Frisco in August 1997, was the company's chief operating officer. Despite his appointment, Brewer will continue to do his responsibilities as chief operating officer. The company named Brewer to succeed Gary Bryant, who continues to serve on Frisco's board of directors. Bryant will also remain involved in Frisco's strategic planning and merchandising and product development.
