Bassett embraces crib mattresses

Bassett Mattress of Lake Wales, FL, buoyed by early successes in the its crib mattresses line, is gearing for the release of new products. The company, an offshoot of Bassett, the furniture manufacturer, introduced its initial line of mattresses for cribs in April 1998 and makes the majority of its mattresses in its facility in Fredericksburg, VA. Bassett Mattress, which intends to introduce from one to two new crib mattresses to its current product line, offers three types of crib mattresses, the Cloud Comfort for $39, the Angel Rest for $69 and the Little Dream Maker for $99.

Kid Safe: infants and parents can breathe easy

Kid Safe's Breathable Baby Mattress, a product created by Habib Mahdavi, will be introduced at the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association show in October 1998 at Dallas, TX. The product, designed for infants who tends to roll over on their stomachs during sleep, allow air circulation to continue through the use of mesh-covered frame that is placed over a regular crib mattress. The Kid Safe Breathable Baby Mattress, intended for infants below a year old, has complied with the standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission for infant sleep safety.
