Conforto leaves GERS
Article Abstract:
GERS Retail System vice president Dennis Conforto has resigned so he could pursue his interest in Internet retailing. Conforto gave 18 years working for the store automation vendor, which reports $15 billion a year in retail sales. President and CEO Jim Henderson said privately-held Summit Partners, which intends to go public with GERS, has made an investment that provided financial opportunities so Conforto could do other things. Henderson said Conforto, who would still be a consultant for GERS, has shared his ideas to others in the staff so his experience is not lost at all.
