Article Abstract:

Inkwell or inkstand collections and preservations are an important part of the history that are beautiful and appreciate in value over time. Inkstands were prestigious to own and because they were part of everyday items that had to withstand heavy use, most of them were sturdily made, so many of them have weathered the years gracefully and come down to the collectors in good condition and their prices are as widespread as their ages and styles.
