The details of a team of in-house researchers and executives, assembled by the Aiken, South Carolina based Owens Corning to create a new type of fire-resistant material for bedding is discussed. It is producing fire resistant fabric for bedding industry at a plant in South Carolina. Owens Corning is investigating additional uses for its new FR product in the furniture market, as it is now the dominant type of bedding on the market.
