Karl Bodmer's journey

Article Abstract:

Bodmer is known for his illustrations of Native Americans living in the Upper Missouri River Valley made during an expedition led by German naturalist Prince Alexander Philip Maximilian von Wied from 1832-34. These illustrations are now part of the Joslyn Art Museum's collections in Omaha, NE.

How to take care of a quilt

Article Abstract:

Antique quilts can be conserved for a long time with proper care. Quilts should be refolded often to prevent permanent creases. They should be placed behind the closed doors of a blind cupboard or armoire. There are also firms that provide quilt restoration services.
