Levitz picks new liquidators

Article Abstract:

Levitz of Boca Raton, FL, has chosen Schottenstein Bernstein Capital Group of Great Neck, NY, and Gordon Bros. Retail Partners of Boston, MA, to conduct the divestiture of 13 non-earning outlets starting in mid-July 1998. The two liquidation specialists have submitted a higher bid than what Hilco/Great American Group and Gene Rosenberg Associates, the formerly named liquidators, have given. Under the new terms, Levitz will be paid 94% of the landed cost value of its stock and 1% of any additional merchandise sold, a deal that is about 1.5% higher than the previous bid.
