Pulaski, a manufacturer of specialty display and storage cabinets in Pulaski, VA, will purchase Dawson Furniture of Webb City, MO, a specialist in pine and oak wood furniture, for an undisclosed amount. Pulaski, which expects the acquisition to become final in early 1999, sees the purchase as the next step in its repositioning strategy. Dawson, which will retain its current management team, is expected to contribute to its new owner in such areas as new product development, broader product selection and additional distribution locations.
