Simmons settles lawsuit with IBC

Article Abstract:

Simmons Co. has entered into an out-of-court settlement with its competitor IBC Corp. over legal conflict regarding its "Pocketed Coil" trademark and six patents for the innerspring unit dubbed Simmons Beautyrest. The resolution was conducted without prejudice which leaves Simmons with the option of reviving the case if needed. Simmons senior executive vice president Ron Passaglia noted that all previous issues were resolved by the settlement concerning the trademarks and patents in the bedding industry

Winston festival to screen 110 films

The RiverRun International film festival would showcase 110 films such as new independent dramatic, documentary, short, student and animated films. Besides screening films the festival also hosted workshops and panels on film making.
