The Marketing and Finance divisions of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association gathers to review their standards in sync with the emerging patterns and lifestyle changes, which will have a strong impact on the furniture industry. Issues related to the recent trends in the home electronics and new channels of distribution like catalogs and Internet are discussed.

AFMA letter asks federal help for factories

The American Furniture Manufacturers Association is calling on the U.S. federal government to provide support for furniture factories. The association wants the government to focus on promoting investment and innovation, lowering production costs, and making the global playing field more level.

AFMA offers ergonomics guide

The American Furniture Manufacturers Association has introduced an ergonomics guideline that could aid the furniture industry in cutting down on injuries caused by repetitive motion. The guideline is voluntary.
