Klaussner is erecting a 165,000-sq-ft distribution and warehousing facility in Asheboro, NC, that will be able to meet orders from its JDI unit in as little as a week. The company, which purchased JDI, a maker of tables and casual dining furnitures, in March 1998, expects the new facility to become operational by Nov. 1, 1998. Klaussner's new facility, which will help the firm establish brand awareness for its products, will feature the latest available technology in inventory management and shipping.
