Oxman noted that successful casual furniture providers should be able to supply different prices and styles with various display options. The company even offers customized service in the middle to upper-middle pricing tiers for its products and targets consumers in the 30-to-54-year-old range, stated Oxman.

Transamerica takes control of Cantrex
Article Abstract:
Transamerica Commercial Finance Corp. Canada (TCFC Canada) decided to acquire all outstanding common shares of Cantrex Group of Canada after forgoing its 90% minimum condition on its offer. TCFC Canada initially demanded that 90% of Cantrex's shares be offered at C$5 each share before the transaction would be carried out. TCFC Canada President Peter Kelly stated that the offer would be extended at C$5 until Jul. 27, 1998 and that TCFC Canada would take steps to replace the board of directors of Cantrex who rejected the C$5 per share bid.
