Foley's digs in to defend its turf as Macy's, Mervyn's invade Houston

Foley's is the dominant department store in Houston, but is soon to receive competition from Macy's and Mervyn's. Management will put up a fight by revising strategy and lowering short-term gross margin projections. Merchandising and promotion programs will be studied and modified as necessary.
