Discrimination starts at a young age, says TUC

Article Abstract:

According to a new report from the Trade Union Congress (TUC) U.K. teenagers' educational and economic activities reveal segregation and inequalities, reflecting patterns of the general workforce. In the 16-17 age group 10% of young men are employed in construction, as against only 1% of young women, which is akin to the older workforce where 13% men and just 2% women work in construction. TUC general secretary Brendan Barber has called for an action to deal with such stereotypical images for jobs.
