Flexible benefits

Article Abstract:

Structural changes in the UK workforce have resulted in changes in the manner by which pay and benefits are given to employees. The traditional pay package consisting of direct and indirect pay has been rendered obsolete. Flexible benefits allow employees a measure of choice as to what particular type they prefer. Employers are beginning to realize the advantages of a philosophy involving pay and benefits as opposed to pay plus benefits.
