Negative aspects of temporary employment

Article Abstract:

The author argues that temporary employment is an economic and social detriment to workers, particularly with regard to wage rates, benefits and human capital development. However, due to the demographic makeup of temp workers, temporary employment may offer a labor market entry that would not otherwise be available to them.

Legal and policy implications of the flexible employment relationship

Article Abstract:

The article examines the advantages and disadvantages of flexible employment for both employer and employee, and identifies areas in which regulation may be appropriate. Regulatory proposals include making the wages of contingent workers operate as training wages.
