Joint platform of demands in metalworking

Article Abstract:

Trade unions in metalworking sector in Italy have been at loggerheads for over four years. However, on January 11, 2005 these unions namely Fiom (affiliated to the Cgil confederation), Fim (affiliated to the Cisl confederation) and Uilm (affiliated to the Uil confederation) agreed upon a joint set of demands that will form the basis for negotiations with Federmeccanica, the metalworking sector employers.

Three-year agreement concluded at Michelin

Article Abstract:

The details of the main provisions of the three-year collective agreement negotiated by the representatives of management and works council members for employees at Michelin company's Spanish operations are presented. There is provision for 2.5 percent wage increase annually, gradual reduction in annual working time, and flexible employment contracts.
