Ladder safety

The Group Health, Safety and Personnel officer Sharon Taylor realizes the dangers of working from ladders and stresses on cutting back the use of ladders. Ladders can be kept secure if tied at the top. Health and Safety Executive has published a booklet, which provides excellent guidelines on the use of ladders.

Tackling one million workplace injuries in Italy

The different ways of reducing the workplace accidents were the main focus of the visitors and exhibitors at Sicurtech Expo 2003. The aspects of the new policy for the prevention of fire hazards, civil protection measures, and the voluntary certification of construction site safety co-ordinators are discussed.
