Line managers key to tackling bullying and harassment at the workplace

Article Abstract:

According to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)'s survey of about 1,100 employers across all industrial sectors, 39% of employers believe that line managers are the most effective personnel for handling bullying and harassment in an organization. However, the report also points out that only 55% of line managers are trained in how to deal with the problem, as against 75% of HR managers.
