Safe ways for retail outlets

Article Abstract:

New EC health and safety regulations came into effect in 1993 which affect the retail trade. The large retail chains have advisors to help with new laws, but some small shopkeepers may find them bewildering. Some small businesses turn to their local environmental health officers for informal guidance. Lifting heavy loads, wearing protection and using visual display units are areas where shopkeepers may be unaware of the new laws.
