Rebalancing a portfolio post the Euro

Article Abstract:

European companies are encouraged to study the possible effects of the Euro on the pension funds management and portfolio investments. These companies must realize that a common currency does not mean common investment opportunities for all European Monetary Union (EMU) member countries. The decision of the UK to join the EMU has prompted several British companies to restructure their investment portfolios. Other implications of the UK Euro membership and the liberalization of cross-border pension funds are discussed.
