UK remuneration policy has undergone significant fundamental changes since 1982. Depending on the particular industry type and organization, the impact of these changes has varied. Incentives and benefits for managers and employees have become the subject of intensified scrutiny. The recession has significantly slowed down pay increases but structural renumeraion has remained a priority in most organizations.

Creating employee engagement - transforming the employment deal

Issues concerning ways in which employers can create attractive jobs in order to retain employee loyalty and raise employee performance are discussed. It is emphasized that the type of job and the salary are not sufficient and that training and work rewards are expected.
