Retirement behavior and retirement plan designs: strategies to retain an aging workforce

Article Abstract:

Ways in which specific design features affect workers' retirement behavior allowing employers to focus on those most likely to influence the most productive workers to delay retirement are examined using a unique data set. Employees can be given positive incentives to build income security and be continuously productive till they retire completely and for this employers want to redesign their retiree health plans.

Taking control of your retirement program: what plan sponsors and their employees can do in today's economic environment

The role of plan sponsors in developing a proper approach to take control of employees retirement program in the present economic environment in the U.S. is discussed. Human resource staff can help in managing their company's retirement programs properly, helping employees have savings post retirement and help aging society.

Retirement plan trends: where are we all headed?

Corporate pressures, life phase and demographic issues creating trends having an impact on retirement income adequacy are discussed. Better retirement plan solutions can be created by understanding the pressure trends that affect retirement plans.
