Issues are presented concerning the reformation of the Altersvermogensgesetz or Old-Age Provision Act in Germany in 2001. The inclusion of pension benefits within the remuneration packages of employees is discussed.

Norwegian corporate pension plans revolutionized

Article Abstract:

Norway has recently introduced a Law for Defined Contribution Plans and a Law for Company Pension Plans. This legislation will bring about changes in traditional defined benefit plans, and a new benefit structure will emerge as defined contribution plans are introduced. The retirement pension will now be calculated on a linear basis, leading to premium changes.

The UK's pension protection fund in light of PGBC experience in the USA

The operations and financial condition of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PGBC), and the basic framework proposed for the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) is examined. The PPF is considered as the new standard bearer for pension insolvency funds with the proper initial structure and flexibility.
