The false alarm

Article Abstract:

An anecdote recounts the unfortunate experience of an employee of Playtex Apparel Inc's JBI/Jog-Bra Division with the company's security system. Design assistant Margaret Carroll decided to work overtime one Friday night. Unfortunately, someone turned on the alarm system trapping Carroll inside. She could not turn off the alarm because she did not know the security code. She was also unable to open the front door, which had a double key lock, since only managers have keys. Carroll eventually was able to talk to Human Resource Mgr Dianne Czahor on the telephone, who in turn called the alarm company and asked for help. The alarm company informed Czahor that it was a requirement to notify the police of the incident. Carroll finally got out of the building when Czahor arrived with the keys, turned off the alarm and assured the police that Carroll was an employee.
