The international reward balancing act - global or local?

Article Abstract:

Globalization by itself will not progress unless the people who make the decisions such as the bureaucrats, industrialists, bankers and managers do not adapt themselves to the global requirements of the phenomenon. A study has revealed that international reward practices have not been particularly supportive of employees. Another study also pointed to the difficulty of moving staff from one country to another. To achieve the benefits of globalization, managers should create the appropriate balance that is necessary in an increasingly global world.

Death of a paradigm? Looking at international reward

Article Abstract:

The present paradigm in international rewards is unsuccessful in its importance, based on the range and specific of business drivers, and are expected to restrain and limit the effective and creative exploitation of business situations as they are to simplify and strengthen them. A number of international reward systems are thought to be hampering businesses rather than promoting growth. Alteration and possible reviving of the paradigm calls for the accurate determination of problems and deficiencies to concentrate improvement and change efforts.
