Executive guide to performance measurements

Article Abstract:

An executive guide to performance measurement is presented with emphasis placed on the measurement activity itself. Performance measurement usually suffers credibility problems due to the weakness of the measurement procedure and instruments. The validity of the measurement instrument can be tested in four ways: the test-retest, alternative form, split-half and the test for internal consitency. For the validity of the measurement itself, criteria to be tested are content, criterion-related and construct.
