Executive long term disability insurance update

Article Abstract:

Three case studies are presented analyzing the benefits of 'combination plans' in executive long term disability insurance. The combination plans arose out of the need of companies to protect themselves from exposure due to long term disability of its high-salaried executives. The combination plans are variants of group long term disability insurance and individual insurance, with the mix varying according to the financial commitments assumed by the company and executives. The combination plans are designed to defray heavy costs incurred for long term disability coverage and claims.
