Is your reinsurer safe?

Article Abstract:

Companies looking for a reinsurer should be very careful when choosing an insurance provider. According to a recent report, unpaid insurance claims have been found to be a major reason for 21 casualty/property insolvencies since 1969. That is why it is important for companies to avoid costly errors and be able to identify healthy reinsurers. Issues to be aware of when choosing a reinsurer include companies that are not financially sound and premiums that are too low in relation to the percentage of reinsurance purchased.
