Globalization trends have contributed to the success and growth of firms in the financial services industry. A number of companies have acquired or merged with their competitors and various financial groups. They have also expanded to different regions and extended themselves into the asset management business. Financial services firms have also began to use advanced technologies, savings systems and a myriad of financial intermediation and risks management techniques in their daily operations.

"New pay" strategies that work

Article Abstract:

Employee pay is a significant factorin the integration of the interests of the rank and file with management. However, the traditional base pay scheme is no longer adequate because it does not reward performance in organizations where teamwork and collaboration are essential. Organizations can utilize a variable pay strategy where individual incentives are deemphasized and more focus is given to combined team and individual goals.

Managed care strategies cut reconstruction costs

Article Abstract:

Reconstruction management can see serious construction defects so that an insurance company does not have to pay for another party's errors. Reconstruction management can contain costs just as managed health care contains medical care costs. An incentive program for contractors can assist in containing building costs and providing a quality building produced on time and under projected costs.
