Reinventing benefits

Article Abstract:

The new employer-employee relations being formed in corporate America entail the formulation of new human resources, compensation and benefits strategies. This process has allowed many companies to produce innovative programs to assist employees in managing their resources, time and goals.

A look at broadbanding in practice

Article Abstract:

Broadbands or career bands provide a method of salary administration. These bands may cover several wage ranges, have maximum and minimum points and may overlap other bands. While career bands present management an administrative tool with limited mobility for compensation planning, wide salary ranges provide more scope and save time in salary administration. Management must first consider company objectives before it uses broadbands.
