The Persian Gulf and the geopolitics of oil

Article Abstract:

The US' increasing involvement in the Persian Gulf politics has wide ranging consequences for the geopolitics of oil and its stable flow to the world markets. These complex issues require unconventional coalitions, skilled diplomacy, multinational initiative and drawing China as an oil importing ally rather than antagonizing Beijing which would absolve the US as a regional combatant aggressively pursuing unilateral national and security interests to the detriment of regional stability.
