A solo and small-firm majority; the ABA is making an effort to represent and serve these members' interests

Article Abstract:

The ABA Section of General Practice in 1996 changes its name to the Section of General Practice, Solo and Small Firm, reflecting a new concern for solo and small firm practitioners. Almost 3/4 of the section members belong to firms of 9 or less lawyers. The section plans a digest of ABA-published articles of special interest to small-firm lawyers and advocacy before other ABA entities, especially the ABA Legal Technology Resource Center, for such lawyers. Technology is an equalizer for solos and small firm lawyers.
