Cite wars: Shepard's v. KeyCite

Article Abstract:

Lexis Publishing's Shepard's Citations Service, the traditional tool for checking cites, is challenged by West Group's KeyCite. Both companies offer their citators in electronic form, online, and competition between them is fierce. The competition has had the effect of improving both, and choosing between them has become problematical because they are so similar. Which is best probably depends on personal preferences and which online company offers the best deal.
