Affairs of the heart; lawyers may find that no good deed goes unregulated

Article Abstract:

Legal ethics rules governing Good Samaritan actions by judges and lawyers are discussed. Model Rule of Professional Conduct 1.8(e) bars lawyers from giving clients financial assistance, thus, they cannot help an indigent client facing hardship.
