Debtors' fast track; bills to change bankruptcy laws get priority laws get priority treatment from Congress

Article Abstract:

The progress of changed federal bankruptcy laws in Congress is discussed, and the major change is making a bankruptcy filing under Chapter 7, which erases most debt, much more difficult. Most debtors would have to file under Chapter 13, meaning they would have to repay some of their debt if a means test reveals that they could.
