How important is ADR to Latin America?

Article Abstract:

The use of alternative dispute resolution is growing rapidly in Latin America. Among the causes of this are privatization of government monopolies and a new emphasis on fairness in the judicial process. The growth and development of interntional trade relations in Latin America probably ensures that this development will continue.

Reliable evaluation of expert testimony

Article Abstract:

In order to evaluate expert testimony, standards of factors to consider in establishing the admissibility of certain kinds of expert testimony should be contructed.? Appellate courts should be restricted in the discretion that they grant to trial courts' admissibility decisions.
