Dual fuels; hybrid vehicles deliver economy, oomph and just plain fun

Article Abstract:

The high milage of the hybrid vehicles Honda Insight and Toyota Prius is discussed. Electric motors and gasoline engines mimic the performance of much larger conventional engines in such cars.

Article Abstract:

The power of concentration is what makes legal skills potent and marks the difference between mere competence and true success in the everyday practice of law. Psychologists have good news for lawyers who were not born that way but who have come to appreciate the importance of concentration in saving time, earning money and winning cases.Studies of attention-focusing mechanisms have allowed researchers to make the kind of suggestions to help lawyers improve their powers of concentration. Some of these are listed.

The great Y2K escape; review investment portfolios and keep a supply of cash in case of a crash

Article Abstract:

While lawyers face the legal issues of the Year 2000 computer transition, their personal finances could also unravel due to plunging investment values, inability to get to assets controlled by financial institutions, and loss of computerized records. Steps to minimize these losses include evaluating holdings which might present undue risks and making any adjustments necessary by early 1999 as the computer bug's effects will probably be priced into the market long before the year's end.
