Interjurisdictional motor vehicle accidents

Article Abstract:

Various forums are available to US citizens who are involved in motor accidents in Canada to determine liability and recover damages. Differences exists between laws in Quebec and other provinces for determining jurisdiction. Examples of which rules apply in various circumstances and provinces are included.

Interjurisdictional aviation/airport accidents

Article Abstract:

The authors discuss jurisdiction issues which arise in aviation and airport accidents when the situs of the accident is Canada. Canadian 'jurisdictional competence' is comparable to a combination of U.S. personal and subject-matter jurisdiction.
