Is your cite right?

Article Abstract:

Lexis-Nexis' CiteRite cite checking software scans legal briefs as well as other documents and creates a list of citation errors. The document's citations are compared against Harvard Bluebook rules or the California Style Manual. A report details the errors and provides instructions on how to correct them. The report also refers to the appropriate Bluebook rule so the user can understand the reason for the error. Errors are corrected by hand through the use of the CiteRite error log. The software checks federal and state statutes, law reviews, books, services, signals, short forms and string cites. CiteRite is available in two versions: version 5.5 is for Windows 3.1, version 7.0 is for Windows 95 and NT. The list price for either version is $189.
