Mike DeWine: U.S. Senator - Ohio

Article Abstract:

Republican Mike DeWine, Ohio's former lieutenant governor, is serving as a U.S. senator. He was born in Springfield, Ohio in 1947, is married, and has eight children. He became a prosecuting attorney in Greene County, Ohio in 1977, where he reduced plea bargaining, set up a Child Support Enforcement Unit and Welfare Fraud Unit, and was successful in prosecuting most of the drug trafficking cases he litigated. Serving as a state senator for the 10th district in Ohio between 1981-1982, he wrote a drunk driving law and a mandatory sentencing law for repeat and violent offenders.

LBO blends wax makers

Article Abstract:

MSC Holdings is to undertake a 40 million pounds sterling leveraged buy-out of wax manufacturer and distributor Associated British Industries (ABI). MSC was formed by Aurora Capital Partners to purchase both ABI and US wax concern Petrowax, which will now be merged. ABI and MSC are emphasising that the deal will offer valuable synergies.

Google's race to the Moon

Article Abstract:

Google is offering a $20 million prize for the first privately funded spacecraft to land on the moon, move a robot at least 500 meters on the surface, and send back videos . The Google Lunar X Prize hopes to attract challengers from around the world, despite the huge costs for lunar missions .
