Model code of ethics approved for the editors of legal journals

Article Abstract:

The National Conference of Law Reviews has promulgated ethical standards that address the duties of editors, authors, law review staff and law schools. The conference hopes the standards will be used by law schools to cut down on ethical problems. These include 'trading up,' which occurs when an author tries to have an article accepted by a lesser-known law review published by a more prestigious one, and tenured professors pressuring law reviews to accept their articles.
