Procedural and distributive justice: examining equity in a university setting

Article Abstract:

The behavior of the faculty of a large, urban public university who were give an average of 12% raise in their salaries was observed to determine the positive effects of an organization's implementation of distributive and procedural justice. Results indicate that employees who were given salary increases report job satisfaction and see their organizations to be practicing the sense of fairness that they expect. It was also noted that when rewards were given, the faculty were less attentive to the process of the salary increase administration.

The administration of justice and the role of lawyers

Article Abstract:

The Lawyer's Congress provides an ideal opportunity for lawyers to look at how things are changing, to learn lessons from the past, and to gain insights on the current situation. Issues such as the lawyer's role in the administration of justice, ushering in judicial reforms, the challenges faced by the legal profession are discussed.
