Verity's Truth Center for Enlightened Business

Article Abstract:

The President's Task Force on Private Sector Initiatives was to help solve problems of our socio- economic system. One observation of the task force viewed business response as negligable. Perhaps a better forum for fostering the concept of corporate responsibility is being explored at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. Wright is establishing a National Center for Corporate Responsibility, whose concern is the future of private enterprise. A network of these centers would cooperate in addressing seven areas: research, standards, curriculum, models, services, reporting, and consulting. The Center assumes that a voluntary business association will work toward society's expectations of self-regulation.
