The 50 states are subdivided into three categories according to the positions they have taken on mandatory continuing legal education (MCLE). First, states which have adopted MCLE are listed along with brief summaries of each state's specific requirements. Second, states which are considering MCLE are listed along with brief summaries of the requirements they are contemplating. Third, states not considering MCLE are listed with the approximate number of attorneys practicing in each state.
