Teen sentenced

Article Abstract:

There is a rapid increase in teenagers performing internet-related crimes. Many children rationalize their behavior after committing online fraud and information theft as victims are faceless and children feel that no one is hurt. The technical issues involved are discussed with reference to the article 'Why kids shouldn't be criminal hackers' by Michel Kabay, which is available free online.

Fighting fraud: lawmakers use new tool to fight Internet fraud

The case of Internet fraud rose three-fold from the year 2001 to 2003. In a new crime-fighting trend, even though copyright law is being used to curb the fraud certain Internet service providers must provide a way for customers to report copyright infringement.
