The intellectual property laws of Ukraine

Article Abstract:

The Ukraine has new intellectual property laws dating from 1993-1994, to serve its Patent Office which began in 1992. Laws protect inventions, industrial designs, utility models, plant varieties, copyright, trademarks and service marks. Trade and industrial secrets are somewhat covered by an enterprise law. Licensing is possible for technology transfer, trademarks and patents. Infringement findings and patent nullifications can also occur. The Ukraine also has membership in the Eurasian Patent Convention.
