The powers of Congress and the President in international relations: revisited

Article Abstract:

This article is a reprint of an article originally published in 1987 by Professor Stefan Albrecht Riesenfeld where he discussed his 1937 article concerning executive and congressional powers in the context of international relations. In this 1987 article, Professor Riesenfeld discussed particular interim influences and legal events in a backdrop of separation of powers analysis.

The power of Congress and the President in international relations: three recent Supreme Court decisions

Article Abstract:

This article is a reprint of an article originally published in 1937 by Stefan Albrecht Riesenfeld where he used three mid-1930's U.S. Supreme Court cases to discuss presidential and congressional powers in the context of international relations. The constitutional powers are analyzed relative to customary international law and to the separation of powers doctrine.

International protection of U.S. trademarks: a survey of major international treaties

Article Abstract:

The author outlines the provisions of four major international treaties that have streamed intellectual property law with respect of the application of domestic trademark law worldwide. Recommendations for US trademark owners seeking protection abroad are included.
