Transport of dangerous goods overhauled

Article Abstract:

UK reforms of dangerous goods transportation laws, intended to harmonize them with European Community laws, are extremely costly and may not justify the expense, according to the UK's Health and Safety Commission (HSC). The HSC's 10 consultative documents cover both road and rail transportation. The cost of implementation is estimated at 36 to 48 million pounds sterling.
